OOTD - The Knee High Boots

Hey guys!

My goodness it's been so long since I've posted an #ootd! Mainly because we've been busy moving house and also because of our wardrobe situation.... or should I say floordrobe!

In our old place, Rose and I had a walk in wardrobe EACH. So naturally, we filled them with tonnes and tonnes of clothes we didn't need. Moving over to this house, which doesn't have walk in wardrobes, we had nowhere to store our clothes. So they have been washed, folded and ironed by yours truly and .... put into cardboard boxes.

We finally found the perfect wardrobe and other furniture to decorate our bedroom which is currently, a room with a bed. But alas, the furniture would arrive whilst we were in America, and with both our parents busy with work and other siblings, and all our friends in full time work, we have to leave the ordering of new furnishings till early December when we are home. So we are still without wardrobes.

Moving on to my latest outfit! I have been wanting a pair of knee high boots since I saw Pretty Woman and I have coveted Julia Roberts' "prostitute boots" for like, ever. But as my friend from work described them, they are quite 'hussy' so you have to dress them in the right way.

I found the most perfect suede-like black knee highs from New Look and fell in love. I had a vision in my mind of wearing them with a soft, warm jumper dress - using the cosy jumper to soften and tone down the sexiness of the high boots. My friend M told me the best jumper dresses are from good old Primark for around 8 pounds. So being the Gemini I am, I went off  and bought 2.

I wasn't wrong. The jumper dress was the perfect length to leave a sexy flash of leg between the end of the jumper and the beginning of the boot, but not too much. It looks Autumnal, cosy but still dressed up. Wearing comfy, warm clothes for the Autumn/Winter period need not be bulky and boring. Knee High boots can spice up an outfit instantly.

To complete the look I added a scarf, and when I went out a jacket and hat. I need to invest in a really gorgeous coat now, and will be on the lookout when I go shopping in NY.

I also want ANOTHER pair of knee highs, but flat ones. So again, I will keep my eyes peeled!!
Any recommendations, please let me know!

  4. The hat, scarf and jacket are all from New Look - but the jacket is soooo old I bought it while I was 17 and at college and it's been with me ever since! They do do similar ones though :) The hat was a sale item and the scarf should still be online and in store :)

  8. This OOTD has been a long time coming! Do you remember my saying SO many times how you dress simply and let it dress you up? Yes? Well stick that in a cocktail shaker and add a enough sass to power the Spice Bus. Shake well and serve chilled! This... OUTFIT! I absolutely adore it! Your jumper dress... I wish you'd just live in that! It is SO amazing on you! The purple scarf and hat with your Macys Jacket are killer together.

    As. For. Those. Boots.
Insert English for intensely amazing here! They canvas your legs perfectly! (Great work on toning btw) Sexy is the only word in the dictionary for them boots!

Your makeup is very simple and just accenting which is a look I love on you. Anything more would have been too much. Would I change or tweak anything? Not a Damn thing! I'd give this a 15/10! Rosie... You came back with such power, how the hell are you going to top this?!

Like always. Thanks for sharing Babe! Great work.. and good fuck'n luck topping this.

    As Always Yours Truly,

    April DeRosier

    2. You can be sure I'm looking forward to you in more of those Jumper dresses! That jacket looks so much like your Macys jacket? I see you said it wasn't. Now that I look closer it looks a bit different. Huh. Never mind! I see the difference. It doesn't zip. and it looks like real leather. Well this is embarrassing. I've been down to New Look... and even though I am far smaller than I used to be, they still don't really cater to women as voluptuous as myself. Some day Babes.... some day...soon. ;)

  9. Love a pair of knee high boots - I've been wanting a pair for ages, but feel that I'll look like an elephant playing dress up with my legs :/

You rock them so well though! And they go really well with the jumper! And the scarf and hat are adorable.

  10. LOVE this outfit, I've never really been a fan of knee high boots but you totally rock them. May I ask where your jacket is from? Is it the one you wore at the Macy's meet & greet? I've been wanting to buy a nice jacket for a while now but since I'm vegan I don't wear leather so I was wondering if you know about stores that sell cool pleather stuff.
Your eyes look gorgeous in these photos!! Hope you're having a good day, love youuu xxx

I'm a huge fan of knee highs as well and I have a pair of flat brown ones that would look cute with an outfit like this. 13. ROSIE THIS OUTFIT IS AMAZING! I'm with April, you're going to have a hard time topping this one :)

I absolutely LOVE that you've taken the edginess of the boots and leather jacket and paired it with such a soft gray fabric. You're a genius. You've definitely given me some inspiration for shopping at the Philly Macy's before the M&G!!

    Thanks for sharing :)

  20. When referring to ideal winter footwear for both fashion looks and cozy feel, tall winter boots surely merit this reward. They are the most popular boot styles among women at present as these boots are able to bear a rich variety of designs like lace, beading, zipper, furry decoration and even cuffs for ideal snow boot choice, etc.http://comfortableworkboots.com/cheap-work-boots-for-men/
