Rosie Reviews: Mama Nature Natural Skin Care

I was born with eczema. I've literally had it since birth. Covering my body from head to toe, it is a curse that I have had to deal with throughout my life. When under control, I moisturize regularly, avoid heavily scented products and eating dairy (which is a personal trigger for a flare up but not a universal trigger for eczema.) At worst, I have weeping open sores, cry at the thought of standing in the shower because of the stinging, can barely open my swollen eyes and I'm embarrassed to go out the house not wearing makeup on my itchy, red face and have people ask me what happened to my hands, and how did I burn them.

People CONSTANTLY come up to me and give me 'advice' which annoys the flaming HECK out of me as I have done all the research I could possibly do. I've seen specialists, countless doctors, taken steroids in pill form, tried light therapies, stopped eating certain food groups and tried every single product which should supposedly help from Boots.

But when Mama Nature, a natural, vegan, organic skin care company asked me if they could send me some samples, I said yes. Using natural products over my side-effect inducing steroids are always a blessing. I'm still willing to explore new things, especially when they have good reviews and I loved the company's website. All packaging was 100% recyclable and everyone knows I'm advocate for being kind to the world, against animal testing and all for using natural ingredients.

After doing some research I discovered that Mama Nature Pro Skin Eczema, the product I was being sent, is recommended by Dermatologists (excellent) and is sold every 72 seconds. Prepared by hand, the product is 100% vegan and Eco friendly and was runner up in the prestigious Green Parent Natural Beauty Awards 2012.

When it arrived I instantly opened up the packaging and put some on my hands - my biggest problem area for eczema. I was immediately hit by the smell of the product - it smells AMAZING! I knew what the smell was - essential oils. My mother was a beauty therapist and used to massage essential oils into my skin when I was younger. They smell so relaxing and each oil has a different healing advantage. For example, lavender oil is extremely useful with the treatment of burns. Rubbing this product onto my skin was like having a massage - the cream is rich and thick, heavily moisturizing my skin with the calming smells of massage oils and oil burning candles.

What I was pleased with is that this product is obviously slightly oily but it doesn't leave an awful residue over my skin after use - my skin just feels seriously hydrated and so, so soft after I put this on. When using my creams prescribed by my doctor, they do the job of moisturizing but I have to repeatedly put the creams on whereas I feel only one application of Mama Nature Pro Skin will leave my hands sufficiently hydrated for probably a half a day. It's definitely something I love to cover myself in before bed, so I snuggle down feeling moisturized and relaxed from the smell.

Overall I am more than happy with this product and will DEFINITELY be continuing the use of it. Finally someone has recommended me a natural alternative that WORKS. My only upset would be that the tub is fairly small so I may need to order more for my whole body. However, I do LIKE that it is small as it is handbag sized, and I can carry it with me and smear it over my hands on the go. Perfect. I will be taking this cream with me to New York to help see me through the early days, late nights and travelling without my skin drying up.
The fact that this product smells great, does the job of healing sore eczema, moisturizing seriously dry skin, is Eco friendly, non animal tested, natural ingredients and bio degradable makes me thing that this is a No 1 product people should be using. I will be raving about this and would love to try out some more of Mama Nature's products - they have different products for many other skin complaints other than eczema - including acne and stretch marks to name a few. I give this product 5 stars out of 5! Keep up the great work Mama Nature!

  1. Just be careful with bad dreams (or Rose's hugs) or you will be sliding out of bed if you use too much cream hahaha... Just kidding, I just wanted to know if they ship the product outside the UK and what components do they use in the product they sent you.

  2. I have had bad eczema and still have a dairy allergy (although I only get a rash if I come in contact with dairy, if I eat it my throat swells) and I know exactly how you feel Rosie. Whilst growing up people recommended my parents loads of treatments and told them how it worked on their child but they never helped. Although trying loads of treatments from Chinese oils/medicines to shea butter to steroids, I think my eczema cleared up with age but I still have problems with my ankles and my face mildly. I'm really keen to use this on these areas... i do love organic products

  4. This was such an interesting post Rosie. I wanted to give it a good read because I have psoriasis and it's not exactly the same but sort of is with dry skin, flare ups and can burn when in the shower/bath so I can relate in some way with it. I wanted to ask if anyone would recommend this to me? Just as a try to see if it will at least maybe cool it down or stop me itching with the help of moisturising it..I am starting to cut down on my diet as well but I don't really know the whole dairy/gluten info but everyone always tells me to get to my doctor and ask because I should really be on a specific diet. I have done various posts on my psoriasis on my blog and you check it out here: http://letfashionbeyourpassion.blogspot.co.uk/ but like you I just want to branch out and try lots of things just to see which product actually benefits the very most.

Love your blog Rosie :) xo

  5. Hey I just ready this todat and thought it might help: "If you have eczema or simply have dry, irritated skin, try soaking in an oatmeal bath. Add two to three cups of colloidal, or finely ground, oatmeal to warm water and soak in it for 15 minutes. The oatmeal reduces inflammation and is thought to have an antihistamine effect." I hope it works for you!

  6. Hi Rosie, I just read your post and it was really interesting, as you, all my life I have had eczema but it's atopic, not so much different. I was in Spain for a month and I found a cream called "Clovate" it works really good on skins with pH basic like us. I would love to try Mama Nature Pro Skin Eczema, but unfortunately I live far away, thanks for taking time and write interesting things, Love from Colombia and enjoy NY.

  8. INTERNATIONAL CONCEPT OF WORK FROM HOME
Work from home theory is fast gaining popularity because of the freedom and flexibility that comes with it. Since one is not bound by fixed working hours, they can schedule their work at the time when they feel most productive and convenient to them. Women & Men benefit a lot from this concept of work since they can balance their home and work perfectly. People mostly find that in this situation, their productivity is higher and stress levels lower. Those who like isolation and a tranquil work environment also tend to prefer this way of working. Today, with the kind of communication networks available, millions of people worldwide are considering this option.

Women & Men who want to be independent but cannot afford to leave their responsibilities at home aside will benefit a lot from this concept of work. It makes it easier to maintain a healthy balance between home and work. The family doesn't get neglected and you can get your work done too. You can thus effectively juggle home responsibilities with your career. Working from home is definitely a viable option but it also needs a lot of hard work and discipline. You have to make a time schedule for yourself and stick to it. There will be a time frame of course for any job you take up and you have to fulfill that project within that time frame.

There are many things that can be done working from home. A few of them is listed below that will give you a general idea about the benefits of this concept.

    Baby-sitting
This is the most common and highly preferred job that Women & Men like doing. Since in today's competitive world both the parents have to work they need a secure place to leave behind their children who will take care of them and parents can also relax without being worried all the time. In this job you don't require any degree or qualifications. You only have to know how to take care of children. Parents are happy to pay handsome salary and you can also earn a lot without putting too much of an effort.

    Nursery
For those who have a garden or an open space at your disposal and are also interested in gardening can go for this method of earning money. If given proper time and efforts nursery business can flourish very well and you will earn handsomely. But just as all jobs establishing it will be a bit difficult but the end results are outstanding.

    Freelance
Freelance can be in different wings. Either you can be a freelance reporter or a freelance photographer. You can also do designing or be in the advertising field doing project on your own. Being independent and working independently will depend on your field of work and the availability of its worth in the market. If you like doing jewellery designing you can do that at home totally independently. You can also work on freelancing as a marketing executive working from home. Wanna know more, email us on workfromhome.otr214428@gmail.com and we will send you information on how you can actually work as a marketing freelancer.

    Internet related work
This is a very vast field and here sky is the limit. All you need is a computer and Internet facility. Whatever field you are into work at home is perfect match in the software field. You can match your time according to your convenience and complete whatever projects you get. To learn more about how to work from home, contact us today on workfromhome.otr214428@gmail.com and our team will get you started on some excellent work from home projects.

    Diet food
Since now a days Women & Men are more conscious of the food that they eat hence they prefer to have homemade low cal food and if you can start supplying low cal food to various offices then it will be a very good source of income and not too much of efforts. You can hire a few ladies who will help you out and this can be a good business.

Thus think over this concept and go ahead.

  11. Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. I’ll give you a link on your web blog. 13. The cosmetic industry has infused the market with products full of petroleum and chemical based compounds. Not only do they inhibit oxygen to your skin, they offer no nutrients, providing only immediate results while causing further damage later on. http://www.thedermreport.com/isosensuals-tight/
